Melissa has completed a 5-year double degree of Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and a Masters in Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University in Melbourne. Her experience is broadly private practice and she has been fortunate enough to work along-side specialising consultants at leading health facilities in both Melbourne, Australia and Harley street, London.
Melissa’s enthusiasm for Osteopathy stems from the holistic approach to treatment, and the way it addresses all areas of the body to create balance and alleviate discomfort.
Her joy for working with children led her to embark on a journey of a lifetime. By follow her dreams she moved to London and completed her post graduate diploma in specialised paediatric osteopathy, and while doing so met and married the man of her dreams and started her own family.
Having completed her paediatric studies she has specialised skills in the examination and treatment of children and babies right from birth.
Melissa also has a long history of working with women throughout all stages of pregnancy and beyond including assessment and treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction and rectus diastasis. She is currently completing her post graduate diploma in Womens health at the Molinari intitute of health and with her wealth of knowledge in paediatrics and womens health, she offers a complete and supportive package for everything mums and bubs related.
Melissa also has additional training in advanced dry needling and is a certified APPI pilates instructor (equipment and mat). Her passion for learning feeds her desire to offer the most up to date and comprehensive treatments as possible.
In her spare time, you will find Melissa maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Since leaving the motherland (Australia) you will no longer find her behind the boat on water skies, but will most definitely find her exploring nature on a run or taking a yoga or pilates class.
